Colonel Lou's Guns Rod Albano, Gunsmith

Currently Colonel Lou's Guns does not sell firearms as they concentrate on the gunsmithing repairs, modifications and custom builds of customer's firearms. To assist in the customization of your firearms, Colonel Lou's Guns is a certified dealer for Aero Precision, Wilson Combat, Kick Eez, Ballistic Advantage, Pioneer Gun Works, and Wolff Springs. 

  Colonel Lou's Guns was opened in EL Paso, Texas in January of 2020 and is owned and operated by Rod Albano, a retired Army Veteran. Rod's formal training to be a gunsmith started in 2018 at the Colorado School of Trades where he graduated with honors and was awarded an ADoS in Gunsmithing in November of 2019. While at CST, he attended manufacturer's training with Beretta, Glock, Sig Sauer, and Smith & Wesson earning armorer certifications for the repair of their products. Rod has conducted gunsmithing repairs of over 500 firearms of various types since opening.  

 While also at school Rod specialized in repair and restoration of antique western firearms to include Winchesters, Colts and Marlins.  He mastered the art of hot salt bluing of modern firearms and rust bluing vintage shotguns and rifles as well as stock repair and refinishing.  As a Single Action Shooting Society, SASS, Life Member #101754 under the alias Colonel Lou, Rod intends to utilize his skills and master cowboy action firearm repair and modification and completed a certification course in Cowboy Action Gunsmithing from American Gunsmithing Institute. 

 As a lover of all shooting sports and all types of hunting, Rod is prepared to perform all your general gunsmith requirements to include repair, modification, restorations, and stock refinishing. Rod supports all of our constitutional rights and is a Life Member of the NRA, VFW, Military Officer's Association of America, American Legion, and the Disabled American Veteran's organizations. He is also a certified NRA firearms instructor.
